August 24, 2014 -- Prayer Update with Pictures from the Wedding!!!

Thank you, thank you to everyone for all the amazing prayers covering Hope throughout this last weekend as she participated in her uncle and new auntie's wedding!  It was a beautiful day, beautiful wedding, and Hope was able to enjoy the fun with much less pain than we've seen her in for the last month!  Praising God hugely for His amazing grace in this!!!  We have some pictures to share with you. . .

Just before the wedding started.
Daddy with his girls!

Gabi as one of the beautiful flowergirls!
This was pretty exciting for Gabs as she has always wanted to be a flowergirl!  : )

Hope as the junior bridesmaid.
She smiled so beautifully for the rehearsal, but was concentrating so hard on holding the flower bouquet at the wedding, that she forgot to smile quite as much. . . still beautiful and her daddy and I both shed tears seeing her come down the aisle!  So thankful she could be there!

The super wonderful bride and groom with Trev officiating the ceremony!

Hopey gets to have some cuddle time with her little cousin.
They are super duper close buddies!

Hope and Dad having some fun during the gift opening!

Our beautiful junior bridesmaid. . . so love that smile!

Hope and her cousin Kaleb!
We also got to stop after the wedding and celebrate our nephew's 18th birthday with him!
Happy birthday sweet Kaleb. . .we love you!

I hope you enjoyed a few pictures from last weekend.  We do covet your continued prayers for Hope and our family.  Upon returning from all the fun, Hope came down with a very nasty and lengthy stomach bug.  She had it severely for two days, moderately for two days and now seems to be on the mend but not fully recovered.  The rest of the family is battling it as well, but not as bad as Hope's case.  She also has had some minor seizures, and pretty bad vertigo and dizziness with it.  At a time where we are needing her to be building up good stores of energy, nutrition, and health for her upcoming surgery, she is instead totally depleted.  With only 9 days to go, we are praying for a quick turn around and that she'll be able to be in good shape for the surgery.

We have an appointment with the surgeon on Tuesday this week.  Hope will also need to get her blood work re-done.  So you can also be praying for her that morning as blood work is a huge fear and stress for her.

Finally you can be praying for our family's emotions.  Now that the fun and excitement of the wedding and time with family is over, the surgery is at the forefront of our thoughts, and with the last move up of the date, it is just around the corner.  It is hard not to feel a heavy cloud of fear, concern, worry, pain, and disappointment and burden for what Hope is about to endure. . . the pain, the loss, the recovery, any complications which seem to be usual for her, will her constant pain and problems really be fixed with this surgery. . . it always comes down to trusting the One who is REALLY over it all. . . over the surgeon, the surgery, the recovery, the outcome, Hope's future, Hope's heart. . . we must trust God and His plan in and through this for each of us, especially for Hope.  He is always faithful and always good.  Our salvation through Jesus Christ is always reason to rejoice, to praise and thank Him!  Psalm 13

My mom gave Hope a new CD with songs about the persecuted church and the first one is the story of a Russian believer imprisoned and eventually martyred for his faith in Jesus . . . it has become our new favorite song and the girls listen to it every night at bedtime.  The chorus says. . .

"This is my heart song, and I will stand and sing,
For I am the son of the Living King.
So when the night comes, I'll be rejoicing
Cause even when I suffer, I'll be singing
Jesus is alive!"

Yes He is!  And from that truth flows all hope. . . hope that brings joy (Proverbs 10:28). . . hope that does not put us to shame (Romans 5:1-5). . . hope that abounds (Romans 15:13). . . hope that is the anchor for my soul (Hebrews 6:19-20). . . hope that purifies (1 John 3:3). . . hope of eternal life (Titus 1:2). . . hope set on the living God (1 Timothy 4:10)!

Hebrews 10:23
"Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful."

Thank you dear ones for your faithful prayer support, loving notes and for sharing encouraging Scriptures, songs, and such with us!  Thank you for all those so kind to send us options to prayerfully consider for Hope as we've awaited this surgery!  We are humbled and grateful for each and every one of you!  How God has used you as part of this story He continues to write on Hope's life!  May His Kingdom come and His will be done!

You are so very loved!!!
