Hope Proclaims!

I am very excited to introduce a new section of Hope's blog entitled, Hope Proclaims!  We are so very thankful that God has been so good to give Hope back her voice.  And we would like to start giving her the opportunity to share her heart and what God is doing in her life with you, her beloved prayer warriors!!!

Here is a note from Trevor, Hope's awesome daddy, explaining why we chose the name "Hope Proclaims" for this new endeavour!

Click on "Read More" to continue. . .

Romans 15:13 says, "May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope.

Trevor:  Throughout the last 20 months, we have been encouraged and strengthened by the character of our great God, who is the author of hope for every one of us.  We have also taken great comfort by the fact that God is also the creator and Saviour of our daughter Hope as well.  We have been witness to His faithfulness again and again.  One prayer that we had from the earliest of days is that we might be able to communicate with Hope again.  God has answered that prayer wondrously and now we want to share His answer to our prayers by allowing Hope to speak to you through something we call, "Hope Proclaims."

We hope and pray that these posts will encourage you, as we have been, in the privilege of being with our sweet Hope every day and hearing how God remains at work in her mind, body and most importantly, her heart!

Here is what she dictated to me last week for you all. . .

"Thank you for all your happy birthdays and thank you for praying for me also.  Will you pray for me that I will not be scared if I have to get a back surgery?

I like science at school.  I love math also.  And my class is nice.

Thank you for all the birthday treats you gave me, mom. . . and other people too.  My favorite birthday treat was the ice cream cake and the cupcakes.

Thank you, thank you, thank you for praying for me.  And thank you for the birthday notes, too!  And the Millers gave me. . . and if you don't know who the Millers are, they're some people in Chicago. . . and they gave me some Captain Crunch cereal of cool flavours.  One was Cinnamon Bun flavour, one was All Berries flavour, and one was Peanut Butter flavour.

God has been teaching me through the Bible.  And my dad has been helping me too, by preaching.  My dad had me graduate, with other kids too, from Children's Ministry, so I get to hear my dad preach now every Sunday.  And now I'm in youth group which I love the most.  I love, love, LOVE youth group now.

Love, Hope

You are loved, dear ones!!!
