July 30, 2013 -- God's Gracious Answers to Prayer!!!

Just wanted to give a quick update to my post from last night. . .

It should be no surprise that God did a mighty show of both His power to heal and His loving care to hear and answer the many prayers that were lifted up for Hope and our family today!  Thank you so very much, dear prayer warriors, for your many encouraging notes and the many prayers that were prayed over our precious girl and our family today!  It never ceases to amaze me as to the loving kindness of our great God through His answers to prayer (even the ones that are answered in a way different than I would choose in my foolish wisdom/understanding!), and through the many people that God has placed in our lives to support and encourage and truly "lift us up!" throughout this trial. . . from near to far, young to "more mature!". . . we are blessed by YOU!!!  and by our amazing GOD!!!

Hope finally feel asleep last night shortly after I put the prayer request post online, so I think around 3:30 or 4:00 am.  Trev had moved her into our bed and I then slept with her to help keep her settled.  She did sleep, although lightly with me needing to be close to her and make adjustments of blankets and such to keep her settled when she would start becoming restless again.  She would occasionally talk in her sleep or call for help and if I moved, she would wake up, but she needed to feel me close to her or she would wake up too.  It is such a grace and so very precious how the Lord has given us the ability to be such a comfort to our precious girl!

We were able to keep her asleep until 11 am when Trev and Gabs returned from swimming lessons and the sound of her sister's voice woke her immediately with a big grin on her face!  : )  Love the bond between those two girlies!!!  Although she said that her legs are still feeling slightly itchy, she is feeling MUCH better in comparison to yesterday!  She was able to eat a little breakfast and then a good lunch.  She is drinking well with no nausea.  She is much more calm and hardly any restlessness like all day and night yesterday.  She is much more herself again today. . . and as such, her family is RELIEVED and BLESSED to have our girl back again!

We decided to just document her last 2 days, and the severe seizure for now, rather than calling one of her doctors, especially with the severe itching issues seeming to resolve.  We will start going in for multiple doctor appointments in about 5 weeks and so we will watch her for now, have the emegency Ativan ready, and then report to them what happened then.  If she has another severe seizure before then, we will call the neurologist sooner.  Hope did have bloodwork taken at the beginning of the month and one was a blood level of her anti-seizure medication that I asked for, so I may just call the neurology nurse and ask if any of her blood work was out of normal range. . . but I'm assuming not, as usually they would call us if there was any results that were concerning.  I praise the Lord for His answers specifically for both wisdom and peace in how to proceed from last night!

So, we wanted to quickly share the Lord's speedy answer to our many prayers over the past few hours, and give Him the much deserved praise and worship that He is so worthy of!!!  Our God is mighty to save, both physically as well as the spiritual state of our sinner's soul!!!  Thank you for praying with and for us!  Thank you for the many notes of encouragement and offers to help us!  How blessed we are!  And please join us now in an EVEN GREATER outpouring of prayers to worship and adore the awesome God we know and serve!!!  Much love to you, dear ones!

Psalm 100:1-4

"Make a joyful noise to the Lord, all the earth!  Serve the Lord with gladness!  Come into his presence with singing!  Know that the Lord, he is  God!  It is he who made us, and we are his; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.  Enter his gates with thankgiving, and his courts with praise!  Give thanks to him; bless his name!  For the Lord is good; his steadfast love endures forever, and his faithfulness to all generations."
